He was predeceased by: his father Wilbert Derouen (Derouen); and his grandparents, Della, Amos Derouen, Leler and John Marcantel.
He is survived by: his mother Virgie Marcantel Derouen; his wife Cathy Soileau Derouen; his children, Morgan Derouen Fairchild (Alvin Achille III), Grant Joseph Derouen (Chelsea Gillard) and Blaire Elizabeth Derouen; his grandchildren, Parker Lee Fairchild, Joseph Achille Fairchild, Everett Grant Derouen and Vivian Rae Derouen; his sister Pam Derouen Navarra (Tommy); and his brother-in-law Pat Soileau (Becky Walker). He is also survived by his wife, three children.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church (5495 Elliott Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
