It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sondra Gay Bentley (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on October 8, 2024, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Sondra Gay find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Delmar "Dale" Bentley; her parents, Everett Leo Lanier and Jessie Allen Lanier Sattler; and her stepfather Lubert "Lou" Sattler. She is survived by: her son Mark (Erin Marcantel Bentley); her granddaughters, Charis, Blythe and Amelie Bentley; and her sister Kathi Rye. She is also survived by several nephews, and cousins.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (1800 Country Club Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to an animal rescue foundation or charity of one's choice.
