We are sad to announce that on April 18, 2025, at the age of 74, Roy Smith of Lake Charles, Louisiana, born in Many, Louisiana passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Roy Smith to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Antone Smith Sr. and Beulah Holmes Smith; his siblings, Theresa Smith and Antone Smith Jr.; his daughter Andrea Thomas; and his grandchild Toya Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Candice Mitchell Williams (Alexander), Jawana Mitchell Caldwell (Kendrick), Troy Smith (Tomayo) and Julius Mitchell (Tichelle); the mother of his children Clorinde "Red" Mitchell Hardy; his daughters, Tameka Edwards and Maria Thomas; and his siblings, Shirley, Anita Smith and Tonie Smith. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the James Funeral Home (1801 Moeling St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jenkins Funeral Home (159 Ivanhoe St, Many, LA 71449).
