He was predeceased by: his parents, Ophelia Hooper and Harry Hooper. He is survived by: his wife Ida Mae Martin Hooper of Lake Charles; his daughters, Julie "Candie" Morris (Kevin) of Lake Charles, Krista Hooper of St. Louis, MO and Katie Hooper of Lake Charles; his siblings, David Hooper (Colleen) of Lake Charles, Wanda Thigpen (Sherman) of Moss Bluff, Leah Romain (Ricky) of Ragley and Kathy Louviere (Scott) of Moss Bluff; and his grandchildren, Brock LaVergne, Devin LaVergne and Emma Morris.
Viewing was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Apostolic Temple (2711 W Prien Lake Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
