He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Broussard and Florabelle Broussard; his wife JoAnn McCabe Broussard; his sons, Lawrence Leon Broussard and Ralph "Hugh" Broussard, Jr.; his brother Dickie Broussard; his son-in-law Lee A. Bruney; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Broussard and Dot Broussard.
He is survived by: his close friend JoAnn Baker; his children, Deborah Bruney, Mary David (Rafe) and Jody Broussard (Brandie); and his siblings, Gene Broussard, Ellyn Baker (Billy), Jan Broussard, Dorothy Sundin (Eric), Connie Joffrion (Terry) and Mary Thibodeaux (Dennis). He is also survived by his extended family, including nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
