She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Tremie and Marie Tremie (Soileau); her husband Melvin "Allen" Young; her former husband Louis Veron; and her siblings, Helen Tremie Manuel and James Tremie.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy Cormier (Dennis) of Spring, TX, Jenny Bertrand (Keith) of Lafayette, Laura Pitre (Matt) of Beaumont, TX and Catherine Aguillard (Tony) of Moss Bluff; her sister-in-law Elsie Tremie; and her grandchildren, Ami Dixon, Brad Bertrand, Jeff Bertrand, Harley Hebert, Chase Aguillard, Logan Pitre, Allison Aguillard Bellue, Spencer Pitre and Austin Aguillard. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
