With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nelda Corley in Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernice Thaxton and Mildred Sandel Thaxton. She is survived by: her husband Harold Ray Corley; her children, DeWanna Corley Tarver (Phillip) and DeWayne Corley; her grandchildren, Jessica Renee Corley, Jeremy DeWayne Corley, Philip Corey Tarver (Lori) and Eric DeWayne Tarver (Katie); her great grandchildren, Aubrey Renee Baglio, Miles Vincent Tarver, Millie Kate Tarver, Graham Harrison Tarver and Ezra James Tarver; and her brothers, Darrel Glen Thaxton and Fletcher Calvin Thaxton.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Home of Phillip and DeWanna Tarver (4428 Ihles Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (3940 Holly Hill Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A burial was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Belah Cemetery (151 Belah Cemetery Rd, Trout, LA 71371).
