It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mercedes Aguillard (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nolton J. Babineaux and Ella Mae Babineaux; her husband Jimmy Aguillard; and her grandchildren, Skyler Aguillard and Kianni Berry.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Jeff Aguillard (Christi Bono), Jolene Michelle Aguillard Hardesty, Walter James Aguillard, Jr. (Miyuki), Jody Aguillard (Mitzi), Junice Nicolle Aguillard Messina (Sal), Jude Damien Aguillard, Jessica Marie Aguillard Foreman (Kevin) and Jordan Blaise Aguillard (Jessica); her grandchildren, Zoe, Ana-Claire, Lauren, Kyler, Zion, KoKoro, Trevor, Madi, Myah, Brayden, Grant, Nico, Marie, Jesse, Hunter, Hanson, Harper, Emilia, Branson, Jesslyn and Blaire; her great grandchild Raisa; and her pet Teddy.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (3939 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
