We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2024, at the age of 79, Melba Tate Mathieu of Lake Charles, Louisiana, born in Lacassine, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Asa Joseph Tate and Mabel Turner Tate; her brothers, Calvin Tate and EJ Tate; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Lavergne, Louise Tate, Marjorie Tate and Rose Tate.
She is survived by: her husband Navy; her children, Michael Christopher Mathieu of Lake Charles and Ashley Rebecca Mathieu of New Orleans; her grandchildren, Shaylee and Gabriel Mathieu; and her siblings, Loretta Lavergne of Lake Charles and Harold Tate of Lake Charles. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
