She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelyn Virginia Smith Turpeau and Mack Turpeau Sr.. She is survived by: her daughter Joy Turpeau Parker Bridges; her siblings, Lena Turpeau Heath and Reverend Terry Turpeau; her grandson LaRee Bridges; her friend Josephine Hawkins; and her brothers, Mack Turpeau Jr. and Donald Turpeau. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
