Kendall Troy Broussard Obituary
Kendall Troy Broussard was born on January 15, 1964, as the second child of Lyndol Lou Reed Broussard and Bradley Joseph Broussard of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Kendall grew up in Lake Charles and Iowa, he graduated from Iowa High School. He took classes and eventually became an astute and highly skilled mechanic and air conditioning and refrigeration technician. Kendall was adept at writing technical policies and procedures in his field of expertise for companies throughout the country, including Wyoming and Oregon. In more recent years, while working full time, he worked diligently, online and in his "spare" time, to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business.
Kendall's childhood and adolescent years were spent immersed in 4-H and FFA, raising and showing livestock with his parents, his brothers, and close friends. He spent time as a football referee and was known for entertaining a broad array of interests. He was a lover of music, enjoying genres from country to opera. He also enjoyed learning to play many musical instruments and singing, a talent he gladly passed on to his children. Kendall was an avid reader; his collection included the works of Clive Cussler and many other fantasy authors. Kendall's own writing efforts, while not yet published, included characters that represented treasured friends and family members from his own childhood haunts.
Among Kendall's most noteworthy achievements is his commitment and devotion to the raising, education, and love for his children: Taylor Kathryn Courville, Joseph Rene Broussard, Cameron Elise Broussard, and Sarah Elisabeth Broussard Jeffries.
Kendall is survived as well by his wife: Eva ("Evie") Joann Broussard, who is grateful for the support of Renee Arceneaux. Surviving grandchildren include Naomi and Korbin Courville and Wesley Chrisman from daughter Taylor and a baby boy due to be born in December of 2024 from daughter Cameron. Kendall's brothers (surviving siblings) are Kevin Reed Broussard and wife Jenny and Karl Douglas Broussard and wife Bethany. He is much loved, too, by a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. Gathering of family and friends will begin in the church at 10 a.m., with a rosary recited at 10:30 a.m. Burial of his cremains will be in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery, where Kendall will be laid to rest next to his mother and father. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
