She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Joseph Mallet and Olive Philoman Fontenot; and her husband Dr. Harold G. F. Edwards. She is survived by: her son Philip D. Edwards (Lynn); her grandchildren, Alecia Edwards, Elizabeth Collins (Josh) and Philip Edwards (Katie); her great grandchildren, Courtney Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Ellie Allen, Waylon Edwards, Oliver Barnett, Lane Edwards, Addison Edwards, Emma Collins, Gabriel Edwards and Charlie Collins; and her great great grandchild Sawyer Edwards.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Catholic Church (2500 Enterprise Blvd, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at the Lacassine Cemetery.
