With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Francis Labbé Jr. (Lake Charles, Louisiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 3, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Labbé and Marjorie Labbé (Delahoussaye) of New Iberia, LA.; his sister Janie Fontenot; and his uncle John P. Delahoussaye. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Labbé III (Rocio Milagros Labbe), Andre'Labbé (Kathryn) and René Labbé Sr. (Marisela); his siblings, Hayward John Labbé Sr. (Marjorie), Peter M. Labbé Sr. (Sherril), Paul G. Labbé (Lane), Lillie M. Labbé and Lou A. Nelson (Michael); and his grandchildren, Claudia Elizabeth Labbe', Daniel Alexander Labbe', Megan Bretz (Sean), Lauren, Noah, Rene'Jr. and Josiah.
Viewing was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception (935 Bilbo St, Lake Charles, LA 70602). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (935 Bilbo St, Lake Charles, LA 70602).
