He was predeceased by : his parents, Jean Spiller and Caroline Spiller; his sister Mary Ellen Robert; and his son-in-law Bernard McLaughlin. He is survived by : his wife Sarah Jordan Spiller; his daughters, Elizabeth McLaughlin, Susan Latil of Lake Charles and Sally Spiller of Irving, Texas; his grandchildren, Ellen Latil Paris (Marshall), Christopher Latil, Connor McLaughlin and Stratton McLaughlin; and his great grandchildren, Adam and Lily Paris.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Episcopal Church (715 Kirkman St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
