He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie B. Henton and Claudell Kirk; his grandparents, Beatrice Henton and Rufus Henton, Sr.; and his siblings, Glendell Kirk-Davis and Danny Kirk.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Cooksey Henton; his children, Rosalind Henton of DeRidder, LA, Gary Henton (Veronica) of Baton Rouge, LA, Jerry Henton of DeRidder, LA, Tyrone Henton (Jenny) of DeRidder, LA and Keith Brown of Memphis, TN; his siblings, Sandra Butler of Baton Rouge, LA and Perry Kirk of Lawton, OK; and his grandchildren, Gabrille Henton Burbank, Ebony McKnight, Gary Henton, Jr., Sheronica Henton, Sheree Henton, Kianna Marshall, Katlyn Nelson, Joshua Henton and Seth Henton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, In-Laws.
