He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Louis Gary and Adeline Landry Gary; his wife Orlean Broussard Gary; his children, Roland Sarvaunt and Sylvia Sarvaunt; his son-in-law Harold Miller; his siblings, Don, George, Adam Gary and Alma Frozine Gary; his grandsons, Joshua Fuselier and Aaron LeBert; and his great grandchild Miya.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Sarvaunt, Dale Sarvaunt (Sylva), Sandra Miller, Catherine Hurst (Alton), Jeanette Gueringer (James) and Johnny Gary (Kathy); and his daughter-in-law Candace Sarvaunt. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
