In loving memory of James Larry Coley (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who departed this world on February 15, 2025 at the age of 87. James leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Coley and Helen Simmons; his brothers, Robert Coley Jr., William Coley and Leon Coley; and his sister-in-law Dolores Coley.

He is survived by: his wife Norvell Yvonne Joseph; his children, Juana Felton-Taylor (George, Jr.), Jayme Coley, Janet Coley-Woodard (Arthur, Jr.) and James L. Coley II; his grandchildren, Alexis Tizano, Ashlei Arceneaux (Eric), Courtney Jacobs, Rodney N. Felton, Jr., Cameron Coley, Ja'Naya Woodard and Ailynn Woodard; and his great grandchildren, Jessie Louis, Jaedah Louis and Erionna Norvelle Arceneaux.
