She was predeceased by: her parents, Fernest Trim and Louise Primeaux Trim; her husband Louis James Newman; her children, Louis James "Jim" Newman, Jr., Gwen Dell Frick and Billy Wayne Newman; her grandson Chad Newman; and her siblings, John Steve Trim, JoAnn Fontenot, Vergie Comeaux and Corine Occhiogrosso.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Cook; her grandchildren, Ashley Newman Sheldon, Aaron Cook, Justin Frick and Trista Nicole Haegle; and her great grandchildren, William P. Newman, Ginger Newman, Tyler J. Cook, Liam Lynch Cook, Kaleigh Shelden and Caleb Shelden.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
