He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemon Gobert and Mary Jane Gobert; and his siblings, Mildren LeBlanc (August W.), Magdalene McNeal (Abner James), Willis Gobert (Leona) and Curly Gobert (Beatrice).
He is survived by: his siblings, Marie Larche (John), Wanda Coleman (Eddie), Brenda Wright (Joe), JoAnn Gobert, Mary Smith (Donald) and Paul Gobert (Freda); and his children, Herman Joseph Alexander, Ladaisha Rochelle Alexander, Arlonzo Louis Alexander, Anthony Quinn VanDyke and Jamaker Deshotel (Amber). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home (1801 Moeling St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
