He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Ryder and Annie Fontenot Ryder; his brothers, Earl Bruton Ryder, Andrew David Ryder and Alfred Ray Ryder; and his daughter-in-law Pamela.
He is survived by: his wife Nona B. Ryder; his children, Herbert Keith Ryder (Lake Charles) and Rebecca Ann Ryder Darbonne (Lenny); his grandchildren, Tonya Ryder Pourteau (Brian) and Rev. M. Julien Ryder (Andrea); and his great grandchildren, Beaudrie Graham Ryder and Benjamin Gent Ryder. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
