She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Duhon and Elnora Granger Duhon; her husband Elliot Sterling Sr.; her siblings, Lillie, Vivian, Beatrice, Alfred, Edward and Brady; and her grandparents, Julia Clooney Granger, Frank Duhon, Sr. and Francis Vincent Duhon.

She is survived by: her children, Elliot Sterling Jr. of Lake Charles, LA., Shirley Olivier (Kenneth) of Lawtell, LA and Cherron Boutte (Peter) of New Iberia, LA.; and her grandchildren, Sean Perrodin (Melanie), Shannon Handy (Robert) of Lake Charles, LA, Corrin Pellarin (Arron) and Jamie Rankin Montero (Alberto).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Combre Funeral Home (1200 Mill St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (610 Louisiana Ave, Lake Charles, LA 70601).
