She was predeceased by: her husband Dudley Newman; her parents, Maurice Charrier and Jacqueline Charrier; her grandson Alain "Maury" Newman, Jr.; and her sisters, Monique Stutes, Solange Rouillon, Nicole Boulay and Christian Charrier.
She is survived by: her children, Alain Newman (Stephanie) of Lake Charles, Eric Newman of Lake Charles and Carolyn Viator (Steve) of Lake Charles; her stepdaughter Robin Von Merwald (Vaughn) of Santee, CA; her son-in-law Randy Goodloe (Becky) of Lake Charles; her sister Francoise Leneveu of Paris; and her grandchildren, Candy Guillory (Brandon), Jean Paul Goodloe (Sky), Christopher Goodloe (Sonya), Jade Newman and Chloee Newman. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
