He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Rist and Emma Rist; and his siblings, Faye Davidson and Terry Rist. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Rist; his children, Elizabeth Rist and Charles Rist, Jr.; and his grandsons, Jeremy, Matthew and Nicholas Rist.
A private service will be held and donations in the name of the deceased may be made to The East Baton Rouge Lions Club.
