He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Woodard and Dr. Boyd Woodard; and his grandchildren, Roman and Carter Gotreau. He is survived by: his wife Karen Robison Woodard of Lake Charles; his children, Carey Blevins (Paul) of Lake Charles, Lindsey Gotreau of Denver, CO and Logan Gotreau (Ashbrooke) of Sulphur; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Woodard (Rachelle) of Covington and Elizabeth "Susie" Woodard of Houston; and his grandchildren, Margaret, Max Blevins, Scarlette and Banks Gotreau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His dedication to his profession was recognized through his fellowship in the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
