It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Rosamore of Lake Charles, Louisiana, who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Promise Johnson and Rosalie Johnson; her husband Roy Anthony Rosamore; her children, Phyllis Marie Rosamore, Promise Darell Rosamore, Willie Ray Rosamore (Anna), Anthony Rosamore (Elizabeth) and Johnnie Ray Rosamore (Linda); her grandson James Taylor (Tonya); her brothers, Johnnie Johnson and Rodney Johnson (Ethel); her siblings-in-law, Willie Woods, LeRoy Rosamore (Josephine) and Rosalie Ceasar (Clarence); and her godson Ambers James Larkins.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Rosamore (Abby), Carolyn Thierry (Joseph) and Fontella Rosamore (Tamika); her grandchildren, Sherie, Lakechia, Marco, Sherod, Sherome, Desiraye, Raychelle (Kendrick), Brandi (Mark), Phyllis (Kedric), Donovan, Enjoli, Lloyd, Shay, Jonathan (Ashley), Brandon, Duon (Brandney), Brittany, Shade (Reginald), Crystasia (Justin), Briana (Ronald), Mariah, Malika, Nokia, Cinaya, Sage, Katrina, Kesha, Kellee (Charles) and Kristina (Christopher); her siblings, Linton Johnson (Rose), Cooper Johnson, Mary Lou Hanchett (Alvin), Norma Jean Cotton (Melvin), Loria Woods (Edward) and Gloria King (George); and her goddaughter Kathleen Washington (Daniel). She is also survived by 53 great- grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
