It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bessie Reed (Lake Charles, Louisiana), who passed away at the age of 88, on March 12, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Reed, Jr.; her parents, Willie Reginald and Nellie McCrea Forsythe; and her siblings, Frances Forsythe LeBlanc, Henry Lee Forsythe, Delores Forsythe Sonnier, Veronica Forsythe Arceneaux and Malcolm Ray Forsythe, Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Yolanda Reed Sanders and Anthony Paul Reed (Raven); her siblings, Joyce Marie Forsythe Duhon (George) and David Eldridge Forsythe (Sandra); her grandchildren, Jeremy Jerod Reed, James Charles Sanders, Jr., Anthony Marquis Graham, Diamond Monique Reed and Brelyn Paul Reed; and her great grandchild Lariyn Rose Reed. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church (300 N Blake St, Lake Charles, LA 70601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
