He is survived by: his children, Sandy Bel (Bub) of Lake Charles, LA, Leslie Comeaux (Brian) of Lake Charles, LA and Thad Bourque (Jodie) of Lafayette, LA; his grandchildren, Hunter Habetz, Braden Comeaux (Karissa), Grant Comeaux, John Albert Bel IV (Alli), Alex Bel (Baylee), Quinn Bel and Anna Grace Bourque; and his great grandchildren, John Albert Bel V, Trampas, Eloise, Raeleigh and Noah.

Viewing was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605). A rosary was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (3939 Lake St, Lake Charles, LA 70605).
