He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Fontenot and Anna Mae Fontenot; his brother Larry Fontenot; and his former wife Sybil Marcantel Fontenot. He is survived by: his wife Kim Broussard Fontenot of Lake Arthur; his children, Anthony Fontenot, Angie Fontenot, Melissa Fontenot, Ben Fontenot, Mandi Jones (Brent) and Craig Vincent (Heather); his grandchildren, Amber, Rebecca, Cody, Destiney, Cameron, Tristan, Alayna, Audrey and Alex; and his siblings, Patsy Abshire, Eva Dupuy (James) and Mark Fontenot (Pat). He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home - Lake Arthur (829 4th St, Lake Arthur, LA 70549). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Raphael Catholic Church (211 S Thompson Ave, Iowa, LA 70647).
