He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Bertrand and Elvie Marie Guidry Bertrand; and his siblings, Virgie Veazey, Margie Clement, Vera Poole and Walter Bertrand.

He is survived by: his wife Eva Bertrand; his children, Nancy Duplechian and Allan Bertrand; and his siblings, Brenda Nunez, Vanessa Cormier, Willard Bertrand, Whalen Bertrand, Jerry Leger and J. C. Bertrand. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
