She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulgare Benoit and Martha Mallette Benoit; her husband R. J. Istre; her siblings, Earl Benoit, Ray Benoit, Arthur Benoit, Paul Benoit and Rose Benoit Morgan; her granddaughter Michelle Nicole Granger; her great grandchildren, Eva Maire French, Hallie Celestine and Micheal Fontenot; and her great great grandchild Aaliyah Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Istre (Linda) of Elton, LA, Layne (Marie) of Elton, Drexter Istre (Karen) of Forth Worth, TX, Roderick Istre of Portland, TX, Patrick Istre (Alice) of Lake Arthur, LA, Juanita Gaspard (Johnny) of Lake Arthur, Belinda Myers (Mitchell) of Lake Arthur, Phylliss Fontenot of Hathway, Pam Herbert (Donald) of Morse, LA, Rochelle "Shelly" Granger of Lake Arthur and Fabiola Istre of Blanco, TX; and her brother Joseph Charles Benoit of Gueydan, LA. She is also survived by 52 grandchildren; 136 great grandchildren; 29 great great children.
