She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Verrett and Helen Mire Verrett; her husband Joseph Charles Shoemake I; her daughter Cassandra Ard; and her sister Ruby Joyce Chaisson.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Mallett (Leo) of Lake Arthur, Clifford Shoemake (Denice) of Lake Arthur and Joseph C. Shoemake (Barbara) of Alma, Arkansas. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
