He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rogers and Yolanda Scioneaux Rogers; and his siblings, Rosaria Cottier and Lynn Rogers. He is survived by: his spouse Allyn Fabre Rogers; his children, Roy James Rogers Jr. (Kim), Robin Molinario (Anthony "Tony"), JoLinda LaCross (James "Jimmy") and Slade Rogers (Mandy); his grandchildren, Joshua Rogers (Angela), Roy Rogers III (Kelly), Anthony Molinario III (Kansas), Angelo Molinario, James LaCross III (Mia), Jamilyn LaCross (Tommy), Megan Trosclair (Gadge), Dustin Trosclair, Slade Rogers Jr. and Mason Rogers; his siblings, Nathan Rogers (late Peggy), Joseph Rogers Jr. (Shirley), Michael Rogers and Donna Dempster (Edward "Crown"); and his godchildren, Genice Rivet, Summer Guidry and Diane Dempster. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
