She is survived by: her children, Charles Compton, Sr. (Denise) of Flower Mound, TX and Debra Kay Compton of Carencro, LA; her siblings, Dr. Clifton Istre, Jr. of Covington, LA and Gaynell "Pie" Satterfield (James) of Jeffersonville, IN; her grandchildren, Charles Compton, Jr., Zachery Compton, Landon Stelly, Lindsey Stelly Welch and Haylee Mendoza; and her great grandchildren, Reese Stelly, Kaylin Brown, Carson Brown and Avery Compton. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fountain Memorial Cemetery (1010 Pandora St, Lafayette, LA 70506).
