She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Henson and Ruth Lee Riddell; her husband Louis A. Carlton; and her siblings, Robert Riddell Henson, Hollis Allen Henson and Bonnie Henson Massey.
She is survived by: her sons, David Carlton (Pamela) of Lancaster, SC and Rick Carlton (Carmen) of Glastonbury, CT. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Lafayette (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Lafayette (1100 Lee Ave, Lafayette, LA 70501). A burial was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery (2111 W Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations and charitable giving be made to First Baptist Church of Lafayette's College/Young Adult Ministry.
