He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Mae Noel; his parents, Rodney Noel and Bernadette Daigle Noel; his siblings, Early Noel, Pascal Noel, Joseph Noel, Verlie Broussard, Rita Sylvester and Rena Mouton; his siblings-in-law, Easton Broussard, Margaret Noel and Annie Noel; his sons, Rogers Joseph Noel and Gilbert Lashawn Fontenette; and his close friend Georgia White Nell.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Ray Noel (LaShonda), Rodney Paul Noel, Stacey Noel Calais (Kevin), Chasity Fontenette Human (Dwight) and Danielle Mary Noel; his grandchildren, Dontray Noel, Do'Monique Noel, Kevin Calais Jr., Kaiser Calais and Nolan Human; and his brother Maxille Noel (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (2184 Bushville Hwy, Cecilia, LA 70521).
