He was predeceased by: his parents, Corinne Bonhomme and Luther Charles; and his grandparents, Mary E. Landry and Alton Joseph Landry. He is survived by: his wife Gail Bonhomme; his children, Phillip Bonhomme, Jr. (Alaena Young) and Hillary Bonhomme; and his brother Bradford Bonhomme (Susan).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mallalieu United Methodist Church (121 W Hyacinth St, St Martinville, LA 70582). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (1610 Evangeline Rd, Jennings, LA 70546).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the RLC Trio Alumni Scholarship for students from vulnerable backgrounds can be made through the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Foundation Office or cash donations to his wife, Gail Bonhomme who will forward and match all donations to the Foundation Office.
