She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Andre Bechet and Rose Aimee Billeaud; her husband K. J. Maroney; her former spouse Captain James Louis Eason; and her stepchildren, Ernest "Ernie" Maroney (Jo Ellen) and Linda Sue Maroney Eads (David).
She is survived by: her children, David Eason (Mary) of Lafayette, Paul Eason (Suzanne) of Lafayette and Sarah Brown Maroney of Lafayette; her grandsons, Ross Paul Eason (Morgan) of Lafayette and Calvin Isaac Gurney of Lafayette; her great grandchild Riley Alexandra Eason; her sister Claudette Bechet Sibille (Estorge) of Lafayette; her stepchildren, Adrian Maroney Holland and Bonnie Maroney of Oklahoma City; her stepgrandchildren, Michael Miller, Jeffery Miller, Maggie Brightman (Randy), Patrick Maroney (Amanda) and Katie Johnson (Michael); and her nieces, Andree Reynolds (Lee), Cathy Meche (Darrell) and Jeannine McCloskey Michelle (Gerald, Jr).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (4117 N University Ave, Carencro, LA 70520). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (102 N Church St, Carencro, LA 70520).
