He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Thompson; his son Lawrence Thompson Jr.; his parents, Marida Wilson and Wilson Thompson Sr. (Elsie); his siblings, Wilford "Pete" Thompson and Shirley Thompson François; his niece Fallon François; and his nephew Jonas Francois.
He is survived by: his children, Marcella, Brenda Thompson and Ray Anthony Thompson (Camella); and his siblings, Gloria Thompson Menard (Andrew), Lisa Mouton (Francis), Huey Thompson and Wilson Thompson Jr.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
