He is survived by: his children, Kathlyn Elaine Alderman, Debra Louise Stewart Thrower (Danny) and Richard Nelson Hurst (Lori Watkins); his grandchildren, Micah Jay Pifer (Megan), Patricia Laura Estrada Courtois (Cye), Tonia Elyse Estrada (Josh Travis), Christian Davis Hurst, Geneva Jean Orr Barr (Solomon) and Stephen Thrower; his great grandchildren, Jaiden Renee Hurst, Grey Thomas Courtois, Loren Elyse Courtois, Lawry David Barr, Brayden Kenneth Poche-Pifer, Isaac Matthew Pifer, Levi James Joseph Pifer, Rosalie Loren Travis, Elliott June Barr, Sophia Thrower and Joshua Thrower; his sister Frances Hurst Watkins of Falls Church, Virginia; his nieces, Larrie Ellen Watkins Randall (Pete) and Tina Lorraine Watkins Becker (Eddy); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael Randall, Brian Randall (Lauren), Robert Bostjanick, Rachel Bostjanick Rogers (Ben) and Melanie Becker.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frioux-David Funeral Home of Lafayette (316 Youngsville Hwy, Lafayette, LA 70508). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery (2111 W Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
