He is survived by: his wife Barbara Elias Privat; his children, Lisa Privat Guidry (Mark Guidry), Mark Privat (Michelle Privat) and Michael Privat (Kim Privat); his grandchildren, Blaire Privat Daigle (Reggie Daigle), Jacob Privat, Brittany Guidry, Hailey Privat and Evan Privat; his great grandchildren, Karter Daigle, Jon Reggie Daigle, Ce Ce Daigle, Jake-Michael Privat, Addison Privat and Sophie Privat; and his siblings, Josette Privat Delahossey, Yvonne Privat Nickel and George Privat (Danna Privat).
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gossen Funeral Home Inc. (504 N Polk St, Rayne, LA 70578). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (401 S Adams Ave, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (400 E Betty St, Rayne, LA 70578).
