She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Warren Turner, Sr. and Mercedes Avet Turner; and her siblings, Lizbeth "Beth" Turner and Thomas Warren Turner, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Thomas W. Sawyer; her children, Brian DeHart (Courtney), Rebecca Sawyer Comeaux (Walter), Thomas Wade Sawyer, II and Jason Paul Sawyer; her sister Laurie Turner Conkerton (John); her grandchildren, Bailey, Rowan, Rami, Cameron DeHart, Andrew, Alyssa Moresi, Quin, Corinne Comeaux and Ben Sawyer; and her caregivers, Zack David and Penny Navarre.
