He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bliss and Katherine Matt; and his sister Kathy Dancoe. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Babineaux (Bobby), George Bliss and Victoria Meche; his grandchildren, Katherine, Stephanie Babineaux, Willow and Magnolia Bliss; his fiancé Dionna Nelson; and his partner's children, Emiley, Christina and Shawn Nelson.

In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to help cover funeral costs.
