It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hassel B. Simoneaux of Lafayette, Louisiana, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Telismar Placide Breaux and Gertrude Annie Pepper; her husband Aubrey J. Simoneaux; and her children, Tina Simoneaux Freeman and Simon Paul Simoneaux.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Lee Maynard, Sr. (Jean), Patricia Lynn Simoneaux Robin (Melvin), Wendall J. Simoneaux (Wanda), Arlene M. Simoneaux Silvas (Rudy) and Donna A. Simoneaux (David Laurie); and her grandchildren, Daniel L. Maynard Jr., Penny Maynard Thibodeaux, Timothy Maynard, Kristy Robin Hargrave, Matthew Robin, Aubrée Simoneaux Talarico, Christopher Simoneaux, Damian Freeman, Lance Freeman, Simone Silvas Vaughan and Amy Silvas Davis. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:45 PM at the Delhomme Funeral Home - Lafayette (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers (1011 Bertrand Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506).
