We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2025, at the age of 69, George Bell Thomson Jr. of Lafayette, Louisiana, born in Franklin, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Beth Scull Thomson and George Bell Thomson, Sr. of Franklin; and his stepson Myles William Taylor of Lafayette. He is survived by: his wife Constance Johnson Thomson; his sons, John William Thomson (Whitney) of Lafayette and Michael George Thomson of Lafayette; his stepchildren, Matthew Edward Taylor (Heather) of Chattanooga, TN and Constance Ann Taylor of Lafayette; his grandchildren, William Hayes Thomson and Elizabeth Grace Thomson; his stepgrandchild Lennon James Taylor; and his brothers, Byron Craig Thomson (Janine) of Lafayette and Stephen Scull Thomson (Bonnie) of Lafayette.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Martin & Castille's St. Landry (330 St Landry St, Lafayette, LA 70506). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (515 Cathedral St, Lafayette, LA 70501).
