She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Broussard Poydras and Genny; her husband Joseph Calvin Bruno; her daughter Blanche Bruno Broussard; and her siblings, Joseph Poydras, Henry Poydras (Alberta Carter Poydras), Annovie Poydras and Louisa Poydras DeRouen (Harold R. DeRouen).
She is survived by: her daughter Sandra Bruno Booker; her grandchildren, Brendon M. Broussard of Lafayette, LA, Anthony E. Broussard, Jr. of Lafayette, LA, Willie Booker, III (Jennifer) of Los Angeles, CA and Leah B. Washington of Youngsville, LA.; her great grandchildren, Raeya L. Washington, Colin W. Booker, Kace Davis, Josiah Broussard, Anthony Broussard III and Cara Genevieve Booker; her niece Germaine L. DeRouen; her nephews, Vincent DeRouen (Dawn) of Lafayette, LA and Damon DeRouen, Sr. (Keddra) of Lafayette, LA; her great-niece Kai A. DeRouen; her great-nephews, Damon DeRouen Jr. and Ahman DeRouen; and her goddaughter Rosalyn L. Green. She is also survived by cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (615 Edison St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
On Thursday, January 16, 2025, she peacefully departed this life after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
