She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Charles and Alice Charles; her husband James Porter; and her children, Jimmy Porter, Sr. and Julie Ann Porter.
She is survived by: her children, Jason Porter (Jill) of Atlanta, GA and Jessica Porter of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church (145 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Lafayette, LA 70501).
