He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella "Stella" Young and Yeve Sullivan Doise; his grandparents, Ozeman Young and Leonie Young; and his half-brother Russell Doise.

He is survived by: his wife Jackie Soileau Doise; and his children, Michelle Weaver (Herb) of Lafayette, Danita Rentz (Lamar) of Minden, Stella Merolli (Nick) of Florida, Bert Doise Jr. (Tara) of Lafayette and Jennifer Burts (Donnie) of Lafayette. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
