He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Sr. Angelle and Eva Mae Payne Angelle; his in-laws, James and Lillian Phillips; his brothers, William, Wilbert, Edmond and Leo Angelle; and his son-in-law Tamar Degrate.

He is survived by: his children, Marcus Neil (Celeste) and Patrice Monette; his wife Carrie Phillips; his children, Edward Jr. (Wendy) and Lee Anthony; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Guiang, Lula Trahan and Loretta Angelle. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Progressive Baptist Church (2001 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
