She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Harris and Virginia Sam Harris; her close friend John J. Simon; her daughters, Yvonne Monique Simon and De'Edra Michelle Harris; her brother Cleveland Harris, Sr.; and her sisters-in-law, Rose Simon Hawthorne and Emelda Harris.
She is survived by: her husband John J. Simon; and her daughter Dr. Nichelle G. Harris. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, godchildren, family members, and close friends.
