She was predeceased by: her daughter Stephanie Williams Chaisson; her son-in-law Curtis Chaisson; her grandchildren, ShaRonda Williams and Christon Chaisson; her parents, Annie Richard Sonnier and Edward Sonnier, Sr.; her siblings, Edward Sonnier, Jr., Leroy Sonnier, Earl Sonnier, Elnora Sonnier Jolivette, Theresa Sonnier Green, Geraldine Sonnier Goodly and Gertrude Marie Sonnier Comeaux; her in-laws, Joseph and Mable Gobert Williams; her nephews, Herman Comeaux, Jr., Michael Sonnier, Douglas Jolivette, Roger Jolivette, Gray Goodly and Elry Goodly, Jr.; and her brothers-in-law, Patrick, Alton Williams, Milton Jolivette, Sr., Herman "Amos" Comeaux, Sr. and Elry Goodly, Sr..
She is survived by: her husband Clofar Anthony Williams; her children, Kathleen Williams Thibeaux (Mark) of Mableton, GA, Spurling Garrick Williams (Bernadette) of Las Vegas, NV, Terrance Williams, Sr. of Lafayette, LA, Kevin Garrick Williams (Sheila) of Carencro, LA and Dwight Floyd Williams (Erica) of Lafayette, LA; her sisters, Sister Ann Elise and Savannah Sonnier Walker; and her siblings-in-law, Leanna Wiltz, Rita Williams, Felton and Wilton Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Syrie Funeral Home (1417 E Simcoe St, Lafayette, LA 70501). A rosary was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (818 12th St, Lafayette, LA 70501).
